Ryde is spin the way it should be done – a fun, full body workout done on a bike to the beat and the bass of energising music.

Please aim to turn up to all RYDE classes early enough to allow you to set up the bike and be in a position to start when the class is due to begin. We will not allow people into the studio if you are running ten or more minutes late, as it disrupts the other clients and the class.

More than your average spin class, at L1 performance we take this workout to the next level with the best bikes on the market and specially selected playlists that help you work your best. The carefully designed studio with energizing lights help you have a great time whilst our trainers make sure you work hard and have fun in the class.

RYDE is all about having fun and enjoying yourself whilst you work out. Our instructors specially select energising playlists to create a great atmosphere.

There’s no pressure; you choose your own pace and how hard you push yourself – from beginners to expert RYDErs, the classes are suitable for all levels.

The music goes up and the lights go down, so some of our members love RYDE as you can do your own thing in your own way. De-stress after a long day at work, have fun with friends and get an amazing cardio workout whilst you do it.

It’s an amazing low impact way to burn calories, improve your health and tone up with our on bike dance moves!

At L1 we wanted to create a different kind of gym. Somewhere where we think of every little detail, so you don’t have to.

Specially treated cleated shoes are available for you at our Ryde spin classes. These allow you to push your body harder as they enhance your hamstring and gluteal muscle movements on the bike.

As part of our RYDE workout, we also provide light hand weights. They improve the whole body workout drastically so that you tone your upper body and raise your heart rate so that you can give your all for that whole body workout!

L1 offers a relaxing and supportive environment with premium facilities for changing and showering.

We adopt an inclusive approach and welcomefirst time visitors, who may be at the start of their health and fitness journey, with the same respect as we pay to the professional athletes who use our facilities.

And after your session, you can refuel and relax in our health café with specially formulated recovery smoothies and juices to make sure you refuel the best way after your workout.

We advise that you come to L1 at least 15 minutes before the sessions starts, so you have time to prepare and get the most out of your class.

You’ll be greeted at reception and shown where the changing facilities and Ryde studio are and if you have any questions at all, we’ll be happy to help.

All you need to bring is the kit you’ll wear for the session. We’ll provide cleated shoes, towels and toiletries.

Natasha

Natasha is a professional dancer, Gym instructor and fitness maniac. Natasha will push you to achieve the best you, you can be. Expect nothing but passion when your Ryding with Natasha, she invites you to Ryde with her and feel her energy as you push through those boundaries. There is never a dull day when you RYDE. Natasha is also a dance teacher and fitness instructor, when she is not in the studio she is searching for the best coffee in town.

Ellen

Often described as the ‘Duracell Bunny’, Ellen is a RYDE instructor who’s energy and positivity are infectious. As a trained musical theatre performer, she knows how to work a crowd. She’ll keep you moving to that beat, having  and certainly isn’t afraid of the odd sing along. Having recently qualified as a Personal Trainer, Ellen also knows how to push her RYDE classes to the max. Her classes aim to challenge your whole body, get that heart pumping, sweat dripping, and loving every minute of it. Her ultimate goal is for each person to leave RYDE with a smile on their face and a lighter soul.

Xolani

Xolani is a Yorkshire born and bred professional dancer and dance coach who loves to motivate and encourage others with fierce energy. With her love for music you can expect Xolani’s RYDE classes to be full of big tunes, from old school R&B to Hip-Hop to Neo Soul – you know you’re in for a class full of high energy, fun and sass. Xolani will lead you and encourage you to push yourself and achieve your goals.
